Smuggler's Walk

Coming later this year:

This full day’s walk goes off the usual coastal paths and up onto the moors overlooking Robin Hood’s Bay. It will give walkers the chance to follow in the footsteps of the smuggler’s pack horse train and see how contraband was taken out of Bay and across the moors.

Starting from Fylingdales Village Hall in Robin Hood’s Bay, the route will follow hidden paths and forgotten trods uphill out of Bay before crossing the moors by a gently rising path.. The return to Bay will be via gently sloping moorland paths.

Whilst the walk out of Bay is uphill, this walk is not too strenuous in its uphill climb. However, the walk does take most of the day so requires a reasonable level of fitness.

The walk costs £10 per person with a minimum charge of £120.
